On March 2nd, NORA started harvesting metadata from Norwegian Open Access journals. NORA intends to harvest all OAI-PMH compliant scientific Open Access journals based in Norway.

A special site for Open Access has recently been opened in Iceland by the National and University Library of Iceland. At present it is only in Icelandic, but an English version is being planned.

Long-term preservation of Open Access Journals secured
The Directory of Open Access Journal (DOAJ) - Lund University Libraries and the e-Depot of the National Library of the Netherlands (KB) today announced the start of a cooperation in order to secure long-term preservation of open access journals. The Swedish Library Association is generously acting as sponsor.
